As you are probably well aware. The server in its current format wasnt doing very well, we had a small steady community but not enough new players.
The admin team spent hours talking to players on this and other servers, scouring forums and listening to what most people want.
Unfortunately we decided Compact Support could not continue in its current state. However we did decide that we would continue with the addition of a full rebrand, a rethink of the rules and a new Name.
Policing the old rules was difficult and didnt allow us to enjoy the game, so we just got rid of them. Full PvP all day, everyday. KoS Allowed. We have been playing on a server with these rules and 'fell in love' with the game again, it reminded us why we played so much in the first place.
Full rebrand and new name was more difficult. We wanted something catchy, rememberable and unique. We thought long and hard and Carlos game up with ........ GhostRusters! It made us smile and we certainly remembered it above all the others, So thats what we called the server. The full rebrand is also new and stands out a lot more against the competition. The most important thing is we are remaining unmodded, we want a Vanilla experience and we are sticking with it for now. We will also not be wiping the server, the hours of work you have put into the game will still be there next time you log in. The Net Connect remains the same.
